New Romantic Drama Assemble Big Ensemble

Leading man CHA Tae-hyun has started work on his next project, the upcoming romantic drama Because I Love You, the second directorial outing of Maybe (2009) helmer JOO Ji-hong. Among his many co-stars in the ensemble project will be KIM You-jung (Thread of Lies), SUNG Dong-il (Miss Granny) and BAE Sung-woo (Office).

At the heart of the story is LEE Hyeong (played by CHA), a gifted composer with a talent to connect people in love. Among them are an aspiring singer suffering from stage fright and her colleague whose love for her is unrequited, an elderly man and woman suffering from Alzheimer's, and a high school girl with a special connection to Hyeong.

CHA was last seen in the 20th Century Fox-backed Slow Video and will next appear on screens in the long-awaited My Sassy Girl (2001) sequel My New Sassy Girl, which was co-produced with China.

Because I Love You is being financed and distributed by Next Entertainment World and produced by AD406, the company headed by CHA’s brother CHA Ji-hyun which previously backed the star’s period action-comedy The Grand Heist (2012). The project began shooting on July 27th.
