JUNG Woo-sung and JO Yeo-jeong Pick up Main Acting Prizes
BONG Joon-ho’s PARASITE was the big winner at the issue of this year’s 40th Blue Dragon Film Awards, where it picked up five prizes, including Best Film, Best Director, Best Actress (JO Yeo-jeong), Best Supporting Actress (LEE Jung-eun) and Best Production Design (LEE Ha-joon).
LEE Sang-geun took home the Best New Director award for his debut EXIT and KIM Bora, the filmmaker behind the indie sensation House of Hummingbird, picked up the Best Screenplay prize.
In the technical categories, KANG Hyoung-chul’s period tap dance epic Swing Kids (2018) earned prizes for Best Cinematography and Lighting (KIM Jee-yong, CHO Kyu-young) and Best Editing (NAM Na-young). EXIT also earned a second prize as YOON Jin-yool and KWON Jee-hoon were handed the Technical Award for their stuntwork on the summer hit. Meanwhile KIM Tae-seong earned the Best Music award for his work on the occult thriller SVAHA : THE SIXTH FINGER,
