4th Title from Filmmaker Collective KwangHwaMoon Cinema
Actress
E Som has selected her next film project, which will be
A Little Princess, the fourth feature from the filmmaker collective
KwangHwaMoon Cinema. As with other KwangHwaMoon films, actor
AHN Jae-hong will also appear in the film. E will be the lead in the story, which features a young woman who leaves home and pursues a life as a housekeeper on the road.
A Little Princess follows previous KwangHwaMoon titles such as
Sunshine Boys (2013), 2014’s
The King of Jokgu, with AHN in the lead, and last year’s
The Queen of Crime, which featured E in a cameo supporting role.
JEON Go-woon, one of the seven members in the collective who has helped to produce and write the group’s previous titles, makes her feature debut as a director with
A Little Princess.
Though she has been active on the big screen since 2010, E Som became a more visible presence when she took a starring role opposite
JUNG Woo-sung in
YIM Pil-sung’s steamy thriller
Scarlet Innocence (2014). She has since featured in
Santa Barbara (2014) and
Like for Likes (2016) and will be seen in
Yes, Family this month and
The Proxy Soldiers later this year.
Following
The King of Jokgu, AHN Jae-hong has risen as a popular supporting player in commercial films, appearing in
Coin Locker Girl (2015),
Missing You (2016) and this month’s
Fabricated City, as well as several
HONG Sangsoo titles.
