IPTV & VOD chart | THE PIRATES Tops Chart for Four Weeks Straight

WHISTLE BLOWER and SLOW VIDEO Debut at Third and Fourth, in First week of November
 
 
According to the weekly VOD standings of IPTV and Digital Cable TV, The Pirates was watched 92,121 times, reigning as the number one film in the standings for four consecutive weeks. The Pirates stars SON Ye-jin, KIM Nam-gil, YOO Hae-jin, LEE Geung-young and OH Dal-su. Mountain bandit JANG Sa-jeong (KIM Nam-gil) and female pirate Yeo-wol (SON Ye-jin) have an adventure at sea while hunting down a ghost-whale that swallowed the great seal of Chosun Kingdom. The film was released on August 6th and became a hit by drawing 8,660,000 spectators in total. It is expected that its box-office success will propel the film on to a success in the VOD market. Tazza - The Hidden Card came in second as it did in the previous week. The gambler film inked 72,254 times. Whistle Blower debuted at third. The YIM Soon-rye  film starring PARK Hae-il and YOO Yeon-seok explores a fake stem cell scandal. The film recorded 30,720 views. 
 
Fourth place was taken by Slow Video which debuted in the standings. Slow Video tells the story which begins as YEO Jang-boo (CHA Tae-hyun), who has a special power through which he is able to see moving things like a slow video, encounters the outside world after spending long time as a homebody. KIM Young-tak, the director of the commercially successful film Hello Ghost and CHA, the lead actor of Hello Ghost reunited for the comedy, making front-page news. Slow Video was viewed 26,181 times.  Ranked fifth in place is Scarlet Innocence starring JUNG Woo-sung and E Som with 20.646 plays. Placed at sixth and seventh were My Brilliant Life (18,108) and Tombstone (13,711) starring Liam NEESON.  They were followed by Transformers: Age of Extinction (13,692), Haemoo (11,861) and Edge of Tomorrow (10,404).
