Filming got underway on October 1st for the new con artist thriller Kkun. Stars Hyun-bin and YOO Ji-tae will film the project for three months. Featuring alongside them in the film will be BAE Sung-woo, PARK Sung-woong and K-pop singer Nana. The film follows a brilliant confidence man who only goes after other swindlers. On the other hand, an ambitious prosecutor is seeking to take him down.
Old Boy (2003) star YOO Ji-tae, who will play the prosecutor, recently appeared the Korea-Japan co-production The Tenor Lirico Spinto (2014) and will be back in theatres next month in the bowling drama Split with actress LEE Jung-hyun.
Filling out the cast are popular supporting stars BAE Sung-woo of Veteran (2015) and Inside Men (2015) and PARK Sung-woong of The Shameless (2015) and Office (2015). Nana, a member of K-pop group After School, recently co-starred with YOO Ji-tae and JEON Do-yeon in the TV drama The Good Wife.
Kkun will be the feature directorial debut of JANG Chang-won, who was an assistant director on several LEE Joon-ik titles, including The Happy Life (2007) and Battlefield Heroes (2011). Showbox is financing and distributing the picture and will deliver it at some point next year.
