Three Films supported by Korean Film Council (KOFIC) meet audience through various channels. The KOFIC has managed various kinds of supporting project including subtitle support, post-production support and technical support.
A barrier-free version of SPLIT, selected by KOFIC’s Subtitle Translation and Descriptive Video Service Support Program, has screened since November 19th. Starring YOO Ji-tae (Old Boy, 2003), SPLIT is a sports drama that tells a story of a bowler who used to have a promising career but became cut off from the world after being involved in an accident. The film co-stars LEE Jung-hyun (Alice In Earnestland, 2015) and LEE Da-wit (PLUTO, 2013).
Monsters, supported by Support Program for International Co-production of KOFIC in 2013, finished shooting on November 14th and is due for release in theaters next year. The film depicts the tragedy of teenagers involved in the shadows of the power and violence.
MIDNIGHT TAXI will be screened in ScreenX Festival which runs from November 28th to December 4th in CJ CGV Yongsan. MIDNIGHT TAXI was produced by Support Program for Production of Experimental Short Films with Cutting-edge Technology of KOFIC and featured ScreenX with 4D technology for the first time in the world.
