Born in 1978 in Busan, Korea and graduating from Ohio State University majoring in Broadcasting Journalism, MOON built her film career working for the veteran director KIM Ki-duk as a field crew for Time (2006), Breath (2007) and an assistant director for Pieta (2012). She was invited to the International Film Festival Rotterdam with an omnibus feature Love in the Shadows (2009), in which she joined as a director, and Independent Film Festival MADE IN BUSAN with her short Karma. Her directorial debut was Home Sweet Home (2011). She attended the Graduate School of Communication and Arts at Yonsei University. Her sophomore feature was <Godsend>, about a young women who goes to live as a surrogate at the mother-to-be’s countryside retreat. Invited to the Busan International Film Festival in 2012, the film was produced and written by KIM Ki-duk and also screened in Sitges and Göteberg.Less
