Her drastic change from an ordinary lifestyle creates conflicts with her family who try to force her to eat meat, and she is driven to a suicide attempt. Based on a novel by HAN Kang, the movie depicts an encounter of a woman who longs to be a plant and an artist who wishes to regain his artistic sensibility. <Vegetarian> is a movie about a woman who gets closer to death little by little and an artist who regains through her his passion for life. This movie has been screened at the [Pusan International Film Festival], the Sundance Film Festival, and the Moscow International Film Festival among many. In 2011, LIM presented his new feature <Scars>, another film adaption of a [HAN Gang] novel. The film was officially invited to Zabaltegi New Directors section at the 59th San Sebastian International Film Festival.
