Shooting Begins This November
Korean Actress KIM Ha-neul of My Girlfriend is an Agent (2009) announced on November 6th that she will be the lead actress in upcoming Korea-China co-production Making Family. KIM has been active on both the big and small screen, having made her name in the entertainment industry through Lovers of 6 Years (2008), My Tutor Friend (2003) and TV dramas such as A Gentleman’s Dignity (2012).
KIM will play documentary producer GO Mee-yeon, an independent career woman. In Making Family, GO meets a free-spirited man and they end up becoming a family due to unforeseen events. Playing the free-spirited man is the Chinese actor Aarif RAHMAN who is also a Cantopop singer. RAHMAN was in films like Cold War (2012) and Echoes of the Rainbow (2010), the latter of which won him the Hong Kong Film Award for Best New Performer. Most recently he was cast in the film One Night Surprise with FAN Bingbing.
Making Family will begin shooting this month in China and will go back and forth between China and Korea.
