Follow-up for CHEER UP MR. LEE Director
On April 10th, young star KIM Woo-bin confirmed that he would be taking part in the upcoming film
Twenty, which will be next project for director LEE Byoung-heon, following his debut
Cheer Up Mr. Lee.
Twenty will follow the lives and loves of a trio of friends who have just turned 20, an age when the whole world is at your feet. KIM, who is popular face on television, has seen his star rise of late, particularly after his leading role in last year’s Friend: The Great Legacy, the sequel to KAWK Kyung-taek’s popular 2001 gangster hit Friend. KIM will next appear on screens as part of the cast of The Technicians, in which he stars as a safecracker. He mentioned that he his eager to change his image on LEE Byung-heon’s new film.
Director LEE made a splash with his low budget debut Cheer Up Mr. Lee when it premiered at the Jeonju International Film Festival last spring. LEE has also made a name for himself by being involved in the writing departments of hits such as Scandal Makers (2008) and Sunny (2011).
Filming for Twenty will get underway this summer, once the entire cast has been confirmed.
