Will Play Married Couple in E J-yong’s Latest Feature Project
Korean Wave stars GANG Dong-won and SONG Hye-kyo are confirmed to star as a young married couple in the drama Pit-a-patting My Life (translated title). Based on author KIM Ae-ran’s novel of the same title, both stars have been cast as a couple who give birth at the tender age of 17, and lovingly raise their child.
Pit-a-patting My Life deals with the story of a boy born with Hutchinson-Gilford Syndrome, a disease that cause rapid aging, who prepares to bid farewell to his life as he is about to turn 17, and a 33 year-old couple who have to watch as their son withers away. GANG Dong-won, who is still in production on filmmaker YOON Jong-bin’s KUNDO : Age of the Rampant, will transform into a pure and warm-hearted father in Pit-a-patting My Life, while SONG Hye-kyo, who will be returning to the big screen after a break since her 2011 film A Reason to Live, plays the young but feisty mother. The role of their sixteen year old son caught inside the body of an eighty year old man has not been fixed yet.
Pit-a-patting My Life is scheduled to go into production early next year and will be directed by E J-yong, the director of An Affair (1998), Untold Scandal (2003) and The Actresses (2009), and will be produced by Zip Cinema.
