You're My Sunshine, the second feature film from up-and-coming director PARK Jin-pyo, wrapped up shooting in late June. The film is scheduled to complete post-production and open in theaters sometime in September.
The film stars actress JEON Do-yeon (Untold Scandal, Happy End) and actor HWANG Jeong-min (A Good Lawyer's Wife, A Bittersweet Life, Road Movie) in the story of a sex worker who falls in love with an older bachelor from a rural area. Later, the two discover that the woman is HIV-positive.
Director PARK received considerable praise for his debut feature Too Young To Die, which screened in non-competitive section of the Cannes Film Festival in 2002. He subsequently directed Tongue Tie, one episode of the human rights-themed omnibus film If You Were Me.
You're My Sunshine is produced by b.o.m. Film Productions and will be distributed and sold internationally by CJ Entertainment.
