- KIM Ki-duk Produced ROUGH PLAY Heading for Theaters

- Principal Photography Wraps on ROUGH CUT Follow-upAside from his own illustrious career as a director, KIM Ki-duk has launched the careers of many protégés, including JANG Cheol-soo (Bedevilled), JUHN Jai-hong (Poongsan) and, most famously, CHANG Hun (Secret Reunion, The Front Line). CHANG’s first feature Rough Cut was written and produced by the famed arthouse director. Now, KIM has once again penned and produced another film for a budding filmmaker, a sequel of sorts to Rough Cut entitled Rough Play.The director this time around is SHIN Yeon-shick who is not a novice filmmaker, having already released a few films such as the AHN Sung-ki starring melodrama The Fair Love and The Russian Novel, which premiered at the Busan International Film Festival last fall and will be seen next month at the International Film Festival Rotterdam.Principal photography on the action thriller, depicting the fortunes of a young actor (played by pop star LEE Joon), took two months and ended on January 19th.
