Sensitive action film captures Asia and Europe
A Company Man, starring
SO Ji-sub, which opened on October 11th and broke the one million mark 12 days after release, has been sold to 55 countries, according to Showbox, the film’s investor and distributor.
Showbox announced that the film has been sold to Japan, China, Indonesia and Thailand in Asia as well as France, Switzerland, Austria, the Netherlands and Belgium in Europe.
Showbox said that overseas buyers praised the film’s unique drama, strong action and SO Ji-sub’s sensitive portrayal of his character and that inquiries about remake rights have been made as well. Showbox will hold an official screening at the American Film Market which will open on October 31st and expects to conclude more deals as a result.
