Korean Independent feature <A Fresh Girl> (2010) has just won the top prize at the Boston International Film Festival. The drama is written and directed by KIM Jung-ho who had previously worked as an assistant director on films such as <A Masterpiece is my Life> (2000) and <Poison> (1997). <A Fresh Girl>, KIM’s debut feature has already played at the Seoul Chungmuro International Film Festival and the Sunscreen Film Festival.
Chung-a, played by KIM Se-in, has to play the parent of her drunk and disabled father. To do so she has to find a way to earn a large enough income to support his needs. She chooses a life on the street which confronts her with challenges and the ever present menace of unpredictability.
The HD film is produced by Dae Heung Entertainment and received KOFIC support.
