The film, Christmas Carol was pre-sold to major Asian countries. Finecut Co. Ltd., the producer of Christmas Carol and overseas sales company, reported the upcoming release in Taiwan, Thailand, Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, etc. The producer said, "Along with the news of the film's production, the strong storyline of the film and the meeting of rising star actors and veteran actors caught the attention of overseas film officials." 

Christmas Carol is an action thriller in which the older brother ‘Ilwoo,’ who enters the juvenile detention center himself for revenge after the death of his twin brother ‘Wolwoo,’ and plays a brutal confrontation with a gang in the juvenile detention center. Actor Park Jinyoung plays the dual role of the twin brothers, ‘Ilwoo’ and ‘Wolwoo,’ the main characters of the tragic incident. Director Kim Sungsoo said, "I think Actor Park Jinyoung has shown good characters mainly in movies, dramas, or as an idol star, but he also has cold and sharp wolfish eyes with his good-looking face. So, I felt that I could show various layers of Actor Park Jinyoung through 'Ilwoo' and 'Wolwoo'." 

Overseas distributors also express their expectations for Actor Park Jinyoung, a former K-Pop idol. Japanese distributor At Entertainment said, "We are confident that the double role of Actor Park Jinyoung and the bold plot of the film will appeal to the audiences in Japan." Also, Thai distributor Sahamongkolfilm International said, "We are happy to distribute Christmas Carol to Thailand. We believe that the film Christmas Carol and Actor Park Jinyoung’s acting will meet the audience's expectations fully.” 

The revenge action thriller Christmas Carol will open in theaters on December 7 in Korea.
