  • UHM Jeong-hwa Action-Comedy Sets Sights on 2019 Release

Actors PARK Sung-woong and BAE Jeong-nam have joined previously announced UHM Jeong-hwa in the upcoming action-comedy OK Madam (literal title). The film is from first-time director SHIN Hyun-sung.

OK Madam is about a woman who runs a traditional donut shop who has a soft side under her harsh exterior. PARK is on board to play her husband while BAE will play a male flight attendant.

Busy character actor PARK has been well known to viewers for more than half a decade. He had a particularly notable appearance in the gangland thriller New World (2013) and later starred alongside JEON Do-yeon in the Cannes-invited romantic thriller The Shameless (2015). He has remained extremely active since then and among his more recent credits were the siege action-drama The Great Battle and the period creature feature Monstrum.

BAE was seen in Master in 2016 and The Sheriff In Town last year, and he also features in the cast of the upcoming family comedy Mister Zoo (working title). Meanwhile leading actress UHM, who was announced as the film’s star in October, was last seen on screens in the family comedy Wonderful Nightmare (2015).

OK Madam, which will be produced by SANAI Pictures, the hit production company behind The Spy Gone North, A Violent Prosecutor (2016) and Asura : The City of Madness (2016), is working towards a theatrical release at some point in 2019.
