  • 'No Other Choice’ and ‘K-Pop Demon Hunters’ Each Earn Three Golden Globe Nominations in the U.S.

    ‘No Other Choice’ is nominated for Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy, Best Non-English Language Film, and Best Actor for Lee Byung-hun.
    ‘K-Pop Demon Hunters’ also earned nominations in key categories, including Best Animated Feature, Best Original Song, and the Box Office Achievement Award.

    Director Park Chan-wook’s film ‘No Other Choice’ and the K-pop–themed animated film ‘K-Pop Demon Hunters’ (K-De-Hun) have each been nominated in three categories, including Best Picture, at the prestigious American entertainment awards, the Golden Globes.

     

    According to the Golden Globes website on the 8th (local time), ‘No Other Choice’ has been nominated for Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy, competing against titles such as ‘Blue Moon’, ‘Bugonia’, ‘Mati Supreme’, ‘Nouvelle Vague’, and ‘One Battle After Another’.

     

    ‘No Other Choice’ is also nominated for Best Non-English Language Film, going up against five works including the Brazilian film ‘The Secret Agent’.

    Additionally, Lee Byung-hun, the lead actor in ‘No Other Choice’, has been nominated for Best Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy. He will compete with Ethan Hawke (‘Blue Moon’), George Clooney (‘Jay Kelly’), Jesse Plemons (‘Bugonia’), Leonardo DiCaprio (‘One Battle After Another’), and Timothée Chalamet (‘Mati Supreme’).

     

    Netflix’s ‘K-Pop Demon Hunters’ is nominated for Best Animated Feature, competing with five films including ‘Zootopia 2’ and ‘Arco’. It has also earned nominations for Best Original Song and the Box Office Achievement Award.

     

    Meanwhile, ‘Bugonia’, the Hollywood remake of the Korean film ‘Save the Green Planet!’, has been announced as a nominee in three categories: Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy, Best Actress (Emma Stone), and Best Actor (Jesse Plemons).

     

    The 83rd Golden Globe Awards will be held on January 11 next year.
