Nobody’s Daughter Haewon, which will be released in 2013, to the official competition section of the 63rd Berlin International Film Festival, held from February 7th to 17th. A representative of
FINECUT, the overseas distribution company said, “The festival had great affection for
Nobody’s Daughter Haewon, and as such that they decided to invite the film immediately after watching a rough cut during the summer, even before they officially started collecting films for the competition section.” The festival’s competition section is for new films from world class master filmmakers, and features about 25 films world or international premieres every year.
Nobody’s Daughter Haewon is presented as a diary portraying several days of a journey of sorrow and joy that a college girl Haewon goes through after sending her mother to Canada. HONG has not cast a new actress since he made
Virgin Stripped Bare By Her Bachelors, but this time, he thought
JUNG Eun-Chae was good enough to take on the role of ‘Haewon’.
Nobody’s Daughter Haewon, starring
