Praise from Int'l Festivals Continues

KANG Yi-kwan's
Juvenile Offender, which was invited by Toronto, Tokyo and Taipei, has now been invited by film festivals in Europe and the Philippines. The Cinemanila International Film Festival, Udine Far East Film Festival in Italy, BLACK MOVIE Geneva Film Festival of Switzerland and World Cinema ALE KINO+ of Poland have all invited the film with Cinemalina selecting it for their competition section.
Cinemanila International Film Festival is to run from December 5th to 11th and its focus is on films from South East Asia as well as the rest of the world.
KIM Ki-duk's
The Isle won the Best Actress Award in 2001 and
IM Sang-soo's
The President's Last Bang won the Best Film Award in 2005. In 2010, IM's
The Housemaid won the Best Director and Best Actress Awards and in 2011,
LEE Chang-dong's
Poetry also received the Best Actress Award. It's an event which has seen good results for Korean films.
