Director JEONG Byung-gil and actors JUNG Jae-young and PARK Si-hoo’s Confession of Murder drew significant attention from overseas markets including Hollywood, said its distributor Showbox/Mediaplex Inc.. The film's producer met with the producer of The Usual Suspects (1995) at the Film Independent Forum held in Los Angeles' Directors Guild of America and was suggested a remake.

Moreover, Confession of Murder's distribution rights were sold to 4 Asian countries (Japan, China, Hong Kong and Indonesia), as well as Europe's French and German-speaking territories. In addition, Shanghai Vision Film, a Chinese distributor, is preparing for its release in China early next year.

Meanwhile, Confession of Murder, released November 8th, is proving to be a local hit as it has attracted 1,043,977 spectators during its first week.
