Ant-Man’s slogan explains the movies best: ‘Marvel’s Smallest but Strongest Hero’. First appearing on screen in 2015, Ant-Man is indeed more powerful than any other heroes in Marvel’s superhero movies. Although Ant-man doesn’t have the physical strength of muscular Hulk, the abilities of Iron Man‘s high-tech suits or the X-Men with their supernatural powers, his body, which can become smaller than an atom, is amazingly powerful. This contrarian hero was popular in Korea, the first Ant-Man movie attracting 2,847,658 viewers, and three years later, Ant-Man and the Wasp was also well received. This sequel was seen by over 1 million viewers in its first three days of release, over 2 million viewers in four days and 3 million viewers in a week. Though based on a rather difficult theory, Quantum mechanics, Ant-Man and the Wasp managed to maintain the audience’s penchant for superhero movies and has recorded 4,384,450 moviegoers in Korea to this date.
