K-pop stars have shown their talents in films. The most remarkable idol is IM Si-wan of ZE:A. He was noted for his unexpected acting ability in The Attorney (2013), in which he played a persecuted college student by the dictatorial government. Since then, he has been imprinted as an actor by his leading role in TV series Misaeng (2014) and his new film ONE-LINE was released on March 29th.Yoon-a stands out among the members of Girls’ Generation who do singing and acting both. She debuted with TV series You Are My Destiny (2008) and continues to appear in TV series. Last year, she received favorable reviews in TV drama THE K2 (2016). She also made a successful screen debut in Confidential Assignment in January this year.One of the new acting idols is Jin-young, member of GOT7. He has appeared in TV dramas including Beloved Eun-dong (2015) and The Legend of the Blue Sea (2016) and made a screen debut in A Stray Goat in March this year. Meanwhile, two actresses will be shown in Daddy You, Daughter Me. Do-hee, an ex-singer who turned her talents to acting after she had played a memorable role in TV series Replay 1994 (2013) and 4Minute’s HEO Ga-yoon play teenage girls wearing school uniform.In addition, Sandara PARK, a member of 2NE1 which was disbanded recently, seems to start her acting career. She returns to the big screen with a leading role in One Step after playing in some movies in the Philippines when she was young. She will feature in Cheese in the Trap, which is based on the same title of webcomic and had success with TV drama version.
