The Persons with Disabilities Film Festival (PDFF), held annually since 2000, is the oldest competitive film festival for people with disabilities in South Korea. The festival selects and screens approximately 30 films each year through film competitions and pre-production support, focusing on films that deal with disability-related subjects or involve the participation of people with disabilities in the filmmaking process.
All films screened at the festival include closed captions and audio description to ensure accessibility for both hearing-impaired and visually-impaired individuals.
The PDFF serves as a platform for people with and without disabilities to come together, watch films, share thoughts, and communicate. It strives to realize a higher level of cultural enjoyment rights for people with disabilities.
