Remake of Spanish Film THE BODY

Thriller The Body (W/T) has cranked in June 12th, which starring veteran actors such as KIM Hee-ae, KIM Sang-kyung and KIM Gang-woo.

The thriller is a remake of Spanish film The Body, directed by Oriol Paulo and will chase the truth about the missing body of a woman being examined by the National Institute of Scientific Investigation. The original version depicts a rich man who kills his wife, thinking he has committed a perfect crime, but in a reversal, is forced to faced the truth when the corpse disappears. It was released in Korea in 2014.

Produced by Sidus Corp. and distributed by KIDARI ENT, upcoming film The Body will feature several veteran actors. KIM Hee-ae will play YOON Sul-hee, a possessive chairman of a conglomerate that is murdered, while KIM Gang-woo will take the part of YOON’s husband PARK Jin-han, an ambitious professor. In addition, KIM Sang-kyung will play keenly analytic detective Jung-sik who investigates the case. The film gained attention due to the fact that it's leading actors are returning to the cinema after a long hiatus, KIM Hee-ae’s C’est Si Bon (2015), KIM Gang-woo’s The Treacherous (2015) and KIM Sang-kyung’s The Deal (2015) respectively.

Meanwhile, the film will be the feature debut by Director LEE Chang-hee who received the Best Film Award for his short The Hideout (2011) at the Mise-en-scène Short Film Festival.
