PARK Hae-jin Set to Reprise Role for Big Screen Adaptation

Actor PARK Hae-jin looks set to star in Korea-China produced film version of the popular Korean drama series Cheese in the Trap, taking on the same lead role that he played in the series. Screened from January to March of this year, Cheese in the Trap was based on a webtoon by Soonkki, who may also participate in the scripting team for the feature adaptation.

The series, which also starred KIM Go-eun and SEO Kang-joon, followed the burgeoning relationship between a female university student and her senior.

Actor PARK Hae-jin is a major TV star who has been active on the small screen since 2006, when he debuted in Famous Chil Princesses. Following several more dramas, including My Love from the Star (2013) and Doctor Stranger (2014), he debuted in the feature film drama Snow In Sea Breeze in 2015.

With scripting still not complete and the rest of the cast yet to be announced, this co-produced feature version of Cheese in the Trap is expected to begin production early in 2017, with a theatrical release to follow at some point during the summer.
