Born in 1980, PARK Jeong-hoon studied at the Department of Moving Image Design at the Kaywon School and Art & Design. He worked in the commercial and music video production field, while also making the acclaimed short film <Perhaps The Beginning> (2006), which screened at the St. Louis International Film Festival and the Busan Asian Short Film Festival. In 2012, he stepped out as a feature filmmaker with the highly regarded <December>, which premiered in competition at the Jeonju International Film Festival, where it picked up the JJ-Star Grand Prize. A lo-fi indie about a young couple which worked its way through 12 brief chapters chronicling the months of a relationship leading up to December, the film was invited to many international film jubilees, including the Sao Paolo, Göteborg, and Taoyuan Film Festivals. The film was granted a domestic release in 2014.
