Park Haejoon, born in 1976, graduated from the Korea National University of Arts in dramatics before making his debut in theatre in 2007. He made his first screen appearance playing a supporting role in the drama film <Helpless> (2011), and he soon followed it up with the high school drama film <PLUTO> (2012). He gained wider recognition when he costarred Kim Yoonseok in <Hwayi: A Monster Boy> (2013). It is however through his role as a young section chief in the workplace drama series <Misaeng> (2014), a true cultural phenomenon in Korea, that he was noticed by a larger audience, and he has since hone on to become a regular face of the big screen, with notable appearances in <THE ACCIDENTAL DETECTIVE> (2015), <Heart Blackened> (2017) and <Believer> (2017), the Korean adaptation of John WOO’s <Drug War> (2013). He was particularly busy in 2019 with no less than five feature films, among them <Jo Pil-ho: The Dawning Rage> in which he played the right-hand man of the main antagonist.
