Dr. HEO has more than fifteen years of professional experiences as a producer and director ranging from dramatic production to non-fiction production. Since 1998, his award-winning documentary, Between Two Worlds has been shown at various film festivals in the United States and received awards recognizing its touch on Asian American identity issues. Later, this film was has been broadcast nationally on PBS stations and distributed by CMIL at the University of California at Berkeley. Dr. HEO is now teaching at Korea University after seven years of teaching at San Francisco State University. He has a Ph.D. from the department of Communication Studies of the University of Iowa and Master of Fine Arts from the Brooklyn College in New York City.
