A director with the animation studio Meditation with a Pencil, which she set up with her partner AHN Jae-hoon, with whom she had worked as an animator and key drawer since 1992, HAN Hye-jin made the short <Replay> in 1999. That same year, she co-directed for the first time with AHN, on the short <One Day of Hitchcock>. The next year, she made the short <Innocent Joy>, once again with AHN. Next for her were the shorts <Adventure King Jangbogo> (2002), <Sorry, I Love You> (2006) and <Pink Dolphin> (2008). Three years later, she and AHN made their feature-length animation debut, the well-received <Green Days>, which was invited to the Busan and Shanghai International Film Festivals, among others. Next for the director pair was the animated omnibus <The Road Called Life> in 2014, which served as the opening film of the Seoul International Cartoon and Animation Film Festival and attracted over 30,000 viewers to theaters, an enormous amount for an independent animation.
