Born in 1968, HONG Sung-ho is a CG Animation and VFX artist. He first worked in the operation division of various computer graphics companies in the 1990s before founding his 3D animation commercial film studio, Independence, in 1996. He notably served as Computer Graphic Director on <Wonderful Days> (2003), a milestone in Korean 3D animation, and as VFX Supervisor for <Chaw> (2008), which featured a creature entirely created in CGI. In 2009, he co-founded another studio, Locus, this one specialized in 2D and 3D animation. Following a sting as executive VFX supervisor for horror film <The Cat> (2011), he oversaw the animation for <Leafie, a Hen into the Wild> (2011), one of the most successful Korean animated films of all time. He made his debut as a director with the animation long feature <Red Shoes and the 7 Dwarfs> (2019).
