Andy YOON studied business and communications in Sogang University. During his time at IM Pictures (2001-04) and Fineworks (2004-08), he worked on the mega hit <My Sassy Girl> (2001), the critically acclaimed <The Big Swindle> (2004), and also produced <My Hearty Paw> (2006) and <Two Faces of My Girlfriend> (2007). In 2008, he started a contents-producing company called MoonWatcher, and produced <Blind> (2011) which was watched by 2.4 million viewers and won the Blue Dragon Award’s and the Grand Bell Award’s for Best Script and Best Actress. In 2011, he was named one of the best 50 creative entertainers by Movieweek magazine, and won Korea’s Contents Award from the Ministry of Culture Sports and Tourism. Compared to other film production companies, MoonWatcher is more oriented toward developing transmedia projects encompassing live-action movies, webtoons and animations. Recently, he has wrapped up the filming of the Chinese remake of <Blind>, as well as in current filming of the Korea-China co-produced sci-fi TV series titled <Legend Hero>, which will be aired on in November 2015. Another project that YOON is carrying on as Korea-China coproduction includes a feature length theatrical animation <Fly Superboard>. He is also in developing the film version adaptation of the famous local webtoon <God of Bath>, he is also aiming to expand the original content to movie theaters, TV sets and other licensing businesses. Another of YOON’s film project is the sci-fi romantic comedy <The Weirdo from Mars>, which won two awards at the Network of Asian Fantastic Films of the 2013 BIFAN.
