Launched by J&H Media, the band soon disbanded, following which SON began to focus on his career as an actor. Roles in film followed, including the K-horror <Death Bell> (2008), followed by the indie drama <Wish> in 2009 and the horror sequel <Death Bell 2: Bloody Camp> in 2010. SON shot to stardom in the TV show <Reply 1994> in 2013, which scored him several Best New Actor award nominations at local awards shows.
