Upon graduating from the School of Theater and Film at Chungang University, he received his masters in Performance at New York University. He is a top Korean actor, having starred in such films as <Kam-Bo> (1986), <Two Cops>(1993), <How to Top My Wife>(1994), <Once upon a Time in a Battlefield>(2003), <Radio Star>(2006), and <Haeundae>(2009). <Top Star> is his first movie as a director.
