After he was cast for KIM Ki-duk’s <Address Unknown> (2001), he found a bigger exposure by starring in the director’s most celebrated work, <Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter And Spring> (2003). He also had a successful collaboration with another festival favorite, director LEE Yoon-ki, who cast him as the male lead in <Ad Lib Night> (2006) and as a supporting character to JEON Do-yeon and HA Jung-woo in <My Dear Enemy> (2008). In 2006, he achieved the feat of winning both Best New Actor and Best Actor at the Grand Bell Awards for <Viva!
