KIM Min-suk was first noticed in 2004 when his short movie <Memories of Old Boy> won Best Action Film at the Mise-en-Scène Short Film Festival and later received the honor to be included as a bonus content on the DVD of PARK Chan-wook’s <Old Boy>. The same year, he joined the film crew of KIM Jee-woon’s <A Bittersweet Life> as assistant director, and would later go back to the director’s side as first assistant director and screenwriter for <The Good, The Bad, And The Weird>. He also contributed as first assistant director to BONG Joon-ho’s <The Host>. Having learned from some of the most respected directors in the Korean film industry, KIM Min-suk eventually made his feature debut in 2010 with <Haunters>.
