This year’s International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR) has announced the complete line-up for its Tiger Awards Competition. The 15-film selection includes Korean director LEE Kwang-kuk’s <Romance Joe>, which will make its international premiere. PARK Hong-min’s <A Fish> was announced previously as the competition’s first 3D film ever.
Lee Kwang-kuk previously worked as an assistant for director HONG Sang-soo and <Romance Joe>, his feature debut, was a recipient of the Busan International Film Festival’s Asian Cinema Fund (ACF) Post-production support.
In its 17th year, Rotterdam’s Tiger Awards Competition is comprised of all first or second feature films which compete for three Tiger Awards, each accompanied by €15,000. The Tiger Award winners will be announced on Feb. 3.
