Women in Film Korea announced that producer LEE Sun-mi is the 2011 winner of the Woman in Film of the Year Award for her work on <Detective K: Secret of Virtuous Widow>.
The organization noted that <Detective K: Secret of Virtuous Widow> took the original story and added cinematic tension and excitement to create a period piece that took in roughly 4.8 million admissions.
Other awards went to SONG Hye-kyo for best performance (<A Reason to Live>),CHOI Ji-hee (<Kim’s Daughters>) for lifetime contributions, co-director HAN Hye-jin (<Green Days>) for screenplay/directing, and UM Joo-yeong (<Children...>) for producing.
