The 37th Los Angeles Film Critics Association (LAFCA) Awards gave its Best Actress honor to Korea’s YUN Jung-hee (a.k.a. for her performance in <Poetry>. Directed by LEE Chang-dong, the film stars Yun as an old lady who lives with her evasive grandson and the inner awakenings she experiences as she starts to take a poetry class.
Yun, also known as YOON Jeong-hee, is a well-known Korean actress who started her career in the 1960s and has starred in over 300 films including KIM Soo-yong’s<Mist> and LEE Man-hee’s<The Legend of Ssarigol>.
