  • Seoul Scenes Unveiled

The team behind The Bourne Legacy, an action blockbuster to be released on 6th September, has unveiled scenes that were shot in Seoul’s Gangnam. Korean actor PARK Joong-hoon drew a lot of attention when he tweeted back on 15th April of  last year that part of the filming for the 4th film of the ‘Bourne series’ would be shot in Korea. The The Bourne Legacy team came to Korea at the beginning of June last year and many Korean portals were abuzz with sightings of Rachel Weisz around Gangnam Station. Expectations are high here in Korea now that scenes of Gangnam Station as well as the line number 2 subway train have been shown in the trailer. Director Tony Gilroy, who wrote all of the screenplays for the ‘Bourne series’ and directed the film this time, visited Seoul on 30th May last year and shot scenes at the COEX Center in Samseong-dong and Gangnam station and the surrounding areas. The film had extensive support from the Seoul Film Commission and Director Tony Gilroy said about his experience that “Seoul is one of the best places to film. I was pleasantly surprised by the experience and deeply moved.” In The Bourne Legacy, Seoul appears as a key place where secrets are unveiled.
