Kang-pil (Kim) is a former gangster who runs a private detective agency. In order to gain custody of his daughter, he suddenly needs money to hire a lawyer. One day, a mysterious woman comes to him with a large sum of money and the simple instructions to follow and watch over a man named PARK Yong-dae. Kang-pil accepts, but Park soon disappears, and the mystery woman is unreachable. It eventually becomes clear that Kang-pil has been dragged into the middle of a large heist involving Japanese gold, and numerous villains have him in their sights.
