A beefed up LEE Jung-jae shows off his funny bone in new action comedy Big Match, alongside an elastic-faced SHIN Ha-kyun. LEE stars as CHOI Ik-ho, a popular MMA star who unwittingly becomes part of an elaborate game when his brother is kidnapped and he finds himself framed for murder. Following the directives of manic gamemaster Ace, CHOI uses his wits and skills in battles against multiple factions, including cops and low-rent gangsters.

 

Hot off the hits The Thieves (2012), New World and The Face Reader, for which he picked up the Best Supporting Actor prize from the Blue Dragon Film Awards last year, LEE takes on a more physical and comical role in Big Match. Save the Green Planet (2003) star SHIN plays one of his trademark manic characters while Kpop star BoA makes her starring debut in a Korean film and a coterie of top drawer supporting players including LEE Sung-min, RA Mi-ran and BAE Sung-woo fill out the cast. Big Match is the fifth work by Bloody Tie (2006) helmer CHOI Ho.
