    ▶ Synopsis

Once a member of ‘Generation X’ and a hot university student, Tae-pyeong is now just a salary man who lost his dreams and hopes long ago during his years of military service, getting a job and settling down. Realizing that he is living a very dull life and lacking any specific achievements, he falls into despair and wants to return to the “good old days.” Will he get a chance to turn his life around?
Animal offers a fun and straightforward story of Korean men who are going through ups and downs in their lives in the year 2014. The director’s vivid narration stands out as the film is based on his personal experiences. A Film Studies graduate from the University of California, Berkeley, it is CHOI Jong-eun’s second feature film. His debut work, Blind Love (2006), was a collaboration with an American filmmaker. KIM Nam-hee’s natural acting style in the lead role is sure to draw attention.
