The musical film, Life is Beautiful, starring Ryu Seungryong and Yum Jungah, which entered its 3rd week of release, topped the weekend box office for the first time. According to the Korean Box Office Information System (KOBIS) of the Korean Film Council (KOFIC) on October 17, Life is Beautiful attracted 124,155 audiences (18.5%) from October 14 to 16 last weekend and topped the box office. So far, the total number of audiences is 847,334. 

Life is Beautiful, which was released on September 28, the same day Honest Candidate 2 was released, started in 3rd place at the box office. Since then, it jumped to 2nd place at the box office on the weekend of its release and finally topped the box office in the 3rd week of its release. The counterflow of Life is Beautiful in the chart is significant in that it is the box office success of the ‘First Jukebox Musical in Korea.’ The representative popular music in Korea, which encompasses generations, is receiving favorable responses from the audience. 

Confidential Assignment2: International, which had been leading the box office for 5 consecutive weekends, was ranked 2nd at the box office with 112,873 audiences and 15.7% sales over the weekend. The total audience of Confidential Assignment2: International is 6,787,459, ranking 3rd among Korean films released in 2022, following The Roundup and HANSAN: RISING DRAGON. 

3rd place is the animation Crayon Shin-chan: Shrouded in Mystery! The Flowers of Tenkazu Academy. It recorded 81,342 weekend audiences (13.6% of sales). In 4th place, the new horror movie, Orphan: First Kill, entered the top of the box office for the first time with 70,345 viewers. 5th place is Honest Candidate 2, which stepped 2 notches down. In addition, Michelle Yeoh's ‘Multibus action fantasy, Everything Everywhere All At Once, which was released on October 12, started at 6th place at the weekend box office, drawing favorable reviews from the audience and critics. From October 14 to 16, the total number of weekend moviegoers was 630,042.
