RAMPANT to Spread Across 4 Continents in 19 Countries
Period Zombie Action-Thriller Books Global Dates
Upcoming period zombie action film Rampant is gearing up for a global launch after international sales company CONTENTS PANDA announced that the film had already lined up theatrical releases in 19 countries across four continents. HYUN Bin leads the film, which sees him team up once more with his Confidential Assignment (2017) director KIM Sung-hoon.
Rampant will first see the light of day at home, in Korea, where it will be released by Next Entertainment World (N.E.W.) on October 25. A release will follow in Taiwan on the 26th while over the following two weeks the action-thriller will also be launched in the Philippines, Germany, the UK, Vietnam, Myanmar, Singapore, Hong Kong, Macau, Thailand, Australia, New Zealand, the US, Canada, Laos, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Cambodia.
HYUN stars as Yi Chung a prince of the Joseon Era who is an expert in martial arts and attempts to defend the kingdom against the threat of dangerous ‘night demons’. Rampant also features JANG Dong-gun (V.I.P., 2017) and KIM Tae-woo (The Pirates, 2014).
Released during the Lunar New Year holiday season last year, the spy action-comedy Confidential Assignment, which co-starred YOO Hae-jin, was a monster hit, drawing over seven million spectators to theaters. Meanwhile, HYUN Bin is back on screens this week for the Chuseok holiday in the hostage thriller THE NEGOTIATION alongside SON Ye-jin.
