The movie version of Cheese in the Trap has a release date. The big screen adaptation of the famous webtoon, which was directed by KIM Je-yeong and stars PARK Hae-jin and OH Yeon-seo, will be released March 14.

Cheese in the Trap, which originated as a popular webtoon of the same name, was created by Soon Ggi and recorded over 1.1 billion cumulative views. It revolves around handsome and rich senior Yoojeong who hides a secret behind his perfect exterior and Hongseol, who watches him with suspicion. In 2016, the webtoon was made into a TV series with 16 episodes by tvN and starred PARK Hae-jin in the role of Yoojeong and drama Goblin (2017)‘s star KIM Go-eun as Hong Seul. 

PARK reprises his role as main character Yoojeong thanks to the great support of his international fans, while OH takes over the female leading role. In addition, PARK Ki-woong, YOO In-young and Sandara PARK teamed up for the project. It was directed by KIM Je-yeong, helmer of Korean-Chinese collaboration film So, I Married My Anti-fan (2016) and was produced by Mountain Movement Story (www.mm-story.com), a global content media group which produced JTBC’s drama Man to Man (2017), which starred PARK Hae-jin.
