LEE Gyoung-young Co-Stars in Political Comedy

JUNG Ryeo-won appear to set to headline 
Gate, a new project that centers around the recent political scandal involving former President PARK Geun-hye and her confidante CHOI Soon-sil. Also to feature in the film by director 
SHIN Dong-yeob is veteran actor 
LEE Gyoung-young.
 
Gate will concern the predicament of a top prosecutor whose efforts to solve a case are scuppered when he loses his memory following a car accident. The film will feature elements of the recent political controversy but is said to be a comedy piece.
Singer and actor IM Chang-jung has featured in a range of roles since his debut in 
Beat (1997), often playing a leading man in comedies and romcoms, such as 
Sex Is Zero (2002) and 
Miracle on 1st Street (2007).
LEE Gyoung-young is one of the most prolific performers of contemporary Korean cinema, with recent credits that include 
Assassination (2015), 
Inside Men (2015) and 
Pandora (2016).
Gate will go into production at the end of April for around two months and is being prepared for a Chuseok holiday release this fall.
