HAN Ye-ri Leads New ZHANG Lu Drama

Stars and Directors Line Up for Cameos
 
 
After working together on last year’s omnibus Love and...director ZHANG Lu and actress HAN Ye-ri are teaming up once again for the drama Chun-mong (Korean title). The film, which begins filming next month, will feature a throng of major stars and directors appearing in small roles.
 
Chun-mong, which roughly translates as ‘spring dreams’, will feature HAN, who recently featuring in major commercial films such as Commitment (2013), Haemoo (2014) and KUNDO : Age of the Rampant (2014), as a woman who takes over her father’s bar and deals with the advances of three very different men. Her suitors will be played by filmmakers YANG Ik-june (Breathless, 2009), YOON Jong-bin (KUNDO : Age of the Rampant) and PARK Jung-bum (Alive, 2015).
 
Also appearing in cameo roles will be SHIN Min-a, one of the stars of ZHANG’s 2014 indie drama Gyeong-ju, YOO Yeon-seok (The Royal Tailor, 2014), CHO Dal-whan (The Beauty Inside, 2015), KIM Tae-hun (Snow Paths, 2016) and KIM Eui-sung (Office, 2015).
 
Chun-mong marks the tenth feature directorial outing for ZHANG Lu who has steadily drawn acclaim with his arthouse titles such as Tang Poetry (2005), Grain In Ear (2006) and Dooman River (2011). His films have received invitations to the world’s most prestigious film festivals, including the Cannes, Berlin and Venice International Film Festivals.
 
The film is being financed and distributed by STORM PICTURES KOREA, which was behind the high school drama Eclipse, which will be released in Korea this month, and produced by ZHANG’s company Lu Film.
