JURY, a short film by Honorary Festival Director of the Busan International Film Festival KIM Dong-ho, has been invited to the Panorama Section of the 63rd Berlin International Film Festival. JURY is the debut film of KIM and was made to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Asiana International Short Film Festival. It was also shown at the Seoul Independent Film Festival where it received great responses from spectators.

 

Through the invitation to Berlin, Honorary Festival Director KIM will have another chance to show off his directorial skills, this time to an international audience. The Panorama Section at Berlin is a non-competition section for films which are deemed to have both artistic integrity and commercial possibilities. Works by veteran directors as well as debut films by up-and-coming directors are screened.

 

JURY by KIM, which captures the essence of his over 20-year-long career in film, stars AHN Sung-ki, and KANG Soo-yeon as well as JUNG In-gi, YANG Ik-june, and film critic Tony RAYNS amongst other film industry figures. Directors KIM Tae-yong, KIM Hyeong-gu, ZHANG Lu, YOON Seong-ho and KANG Woo-suk also took part in the production of the film. JURY is set to open in the first half of 2013.
