KANG Ha-neul and PARK Seo-jun Wrap Lotte Thriller

Young stars KANG Ha-neul and PARK Seo-jun have wrapped their upcoming thriller Young Cop. After beginning on November 21st in Yongin in Gyeonggi-do Province, production on the Lotte Entertainment-backed project came to an end on February 23rd after 52 shooting days.

KANG and PARK will play a pair of new recruits studying at police academy. After witnessing a kidnapping they are compelled to get involved in the case.

Recently seen in the hit court drama New Trial, KANG has proven to be a force to be reckoned with at the box office, with a successful streak of credits that includes Twenty (2015) and DONGJU; The Portrait of A Poet (2016).

Meanwhile much attention is being focused on PARK, a popular TV star who makes his leading man film debut with Young Cop, after building a significant fanbase through dramas such as Kill Me, Heal Me and She Was Pretty. He previously appeared in smaller roles in the commercial films, The Chronicles of Evil and The Beauty Inside in 2015.

Also appearing in the film are veteran character actor SUNG Dong-il (THE ACCIDENTAL DETECTIVE, 2015) and PARK Ha-seon (Love Clinique, 2012).

The feature is the commercial debut of director KIM Ju-hwan, whose indie film Koala earned him acclaim after its debut at the Seoul Independent Film Festival in 2012.
